Violence Against Women
Violence against women is a serious violation of human rights and can take many forms, including domestic violence, sexual violence, harassment, trafficking, abuse, social discrimination, and other forms of exploitation. Its effects extend beyond individual survivors and influence families, communities, and society as a whole.
Social Development Foundation, Talcher, along with partner organizations and relevant government departments, conducts awareness activities at the grassroots level in districts including Angul, Balangir, and Dhenkanal — community meetings, awareness campaigns, rallies, signature campaigns, and discussions aimed at increasing awareness about women's rights, available support systems, prevention of violence, and gender equality.
Rescue, Protection and Rehabilitation
SDF works with relevant stakeholders to strengthen community awareness and response mechanisms concerning child abuse and sexual violence against children, in coordination with district police, block administration, community institutions, and other concerned agencies — supporting public awareness on prompt reporting, protection, appropriate institutional response, and rehabilitation of affected children.
